A Look Back at Wisconsin Biohealth Advocacy: BioForward and UW-Madison Legislative Advocacy Update

MARCH 7 | 7:30-9 AM

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PARK, RM 50

With a year of government ups and downs and Wisconsin’s legislative session soon coming to a close, join BioForward for a legislative update reviewing 2017, 2018 1st quarter issues and preparing for future advocacy initiatives.

BioForward’s legislative council Jordan Lamb of DeWitt Ross and Lisa Johnson, CEO of BioForward, will discuss our ongoing state and federal legislative advocacy efforts including the WINS legislation, biosimilars, the medical device tax, and more.

Ben Miller, UW-Madison Assistant Vice Chancellor for Government & Corporate Affairs, and Crystal Potts, UW-Madison Director of State Relations, will discuss last year’s budget and its impact on both the university and Wisconsin’s biohealth community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how organizations can collaborate with both organizations, and serve as an advocate for the industry and the University of Wisconsin System.
